There are two
reasons that peace activist Cindy Sheehan is here in Denver.
First, she has once again taken her leadership role in the anti-war
movement.
It is her way to honor her son Casey who was killed as a soldier in Iraq.
Second, she is campaigning as an Independent Congressional candidate from
California.  This is a tough road since she is challenging
Democratic House
Speaker Namcy Pelosi in the San Francisco Bay area.  Sheehan’s
main issue is, of
course, ending the Iraq War.  However her other stands include a
single payer
health insurance plan, ending free trade agreements, and
immigration worker
rights.
