Jimmy
Carter believes in Barack Obama. Monday night the former President
decided not to speak at the Democratic Convention but instead showed
his support for the presidential candidate in a video tribute.
President Carter focused on New Orleans residents who are still
recovering from Hurricane Katrina. First he criticized the federal
government of abandoning storm victims. Then he referred to Senator
Obama as the type of leader capable of helping the forgotten with his
“one nation through positive change” approach. After his video
President Carter appeared on stage with his wife Rosalynn, but he did
not deliver a speech.
