Tonight
Al Gore made dire predictions.

“We are facing a planetary emergency which, if not solved,
would exceed anything we’ve ever experienced in the history of mankind,” he
said.

The former Vice President and environmental advocate said
that the nation must elect Barack Obama as president to ensure steps are taken
to combat global warming.

He continued, “In spite of John McCain’s past record of
open-mindedness on the climate crisis, he has apparently now allowed his party
to browbeat him into abandoning his support of mandatory caps on global warming
pollution.”

Al Gore lost his bid for President in 2000 to
George W. Bush.
