Michelle Bachmann’s main man has left her side. Iowa State Senator and former Bachmann campaign co-chairman Kent Sorenson has decided to endorse Ron Paul. This news comes shortly after Sorenson showed up at a Bachmann meet and greet acting as if everything was in order. Later tonight though, he was standing next to Ron Paul claiming he was going to endorse the Congressman.
“We’re going to take Ron Paul all the way to the White House.”
Sorenson said his decision to switch candidates has been bubbling for days. However he didn’t decide until tonight. He believes the campaign has reached a critical moment. “I believe we’re at a turning point in this campaign.”
Sorenson has been with Bachmann’s campaign for the past several months, so the turnaround comes as a surprise. But, the legislator says he’s confident in his decision.
“We have a choice where we can elect more of the same like what we’re having in Romney, or we can elect someone who’s going to transform this country to get it back to what our founding fathers wanted, and I believe that’s Ron Paul.”
Sorenson declined to discuss the Bachmann campaign and its future without him.
