By Cat Ross Ron Paul is still in the running. A third place finish in the Caucuses has given the Texas Congressman his ticket out of Iowa. Tonight Doctor Paul thanked the enthusiastic crowd at his Ankeny Caucus headquarters for their support during his grassroots campaign.
Newt Gingrich is trying to get back in the game. Today almost one-hundred people listened to him speak in Atlantic, Iowa. The former House Speaker blamed negative ads about his past for his drop in the polls to fourth place. He called the commercials false and accused his rival candidates of spreading lies.
Michele Bachmann is letting God take the wheel. This morning she spoke about His role in her life. Bachmann gave the Sunday sermon at the Jubilee Family Church, an evangelical church in Oskaloosa, Iowa to almost two-hundred church-goers. Both supporters and undecided voters listened to the Congresswoman.
This afternoon ten voters traded in their campaign badges for handcuffs. Seven occupiers were arrested in front of Mitt Romney’s Des Moines headquarters. Three others were cuffed at a nearby Wells Fargo Bank building. They all were demanding that Romney release his income tax information and return any corporate campaign donations. Wells Fargo had reportedly given Romney’s campaign almost $62K.
