Railways Booking Commences, Check where You can Book

Indian railways will be running 200 Special trains from 1st of June. Ticket booking for the same commences today. A total of 100 pairs of trains will start operating which includes popular trains like Duranto Express, Satabdi Express, Rajdhani Express, etc.

Passengers will not be able to book tickets from the railway counters. Passengers will be able to book tickets from IRCTC website or IRCTC mobile application. Apart from that passengers will be able to book tickets from 1.7 lakh Common Service Center (CSC) spread across the nation. Common Service Centre is established by Government of India in order to support the citizens with different utility works regarding the government’s scheme. Government of India is trying to establish Common Service Center in every Indian village.

Railways Minister Piyush Goyal assured that more trains will start running in coming days. He also said that people will be able to book tickets via offline modes in coming days. He said, “We are going to announce the resumption of more trains in the upcoming days. We have also permitted the operation of shops at railway stations. However, only takeaways will be allowed.”

Railways have started running Sharmik express trains in order to facilitate the movement of migrant workers to their respective states. From June 1st railways will start running Special. Trains in India was completely stopped for over 2 months due to coronavirus. It must be noted that there will be no unreserved coaches in the trains running from 1st of June. Added to it there will be no tatkal and premium tatkal tickets. Only confirmed tickets will be provided and no tickets will be issued inside the train.

Post-lockdown period will be one of the toughest for every Indian citizen. Since no vaccine has been discovered, it will be utmost important for everyone to maintain social distancing and keep themselves protected. Life may never be the same again, however, we need to learn to live with virus if not forever atleast for few months or a year.
